CONSERVATIVES IN ACTION

Obama stated that the resignation of McChrystal was “a difficult decision and it saddens me”, how many of you really believe this?  Also do you really believe he and General David Petraeus are tight and all so cozy?  Obama once again proves with his actions that he is more important than our troops or our War in Afghanistan.  Petraeus is very well qualified but who will take his place?  Aren’t we one man short to command our troops?   Obama’s best comment was he won’t “tolerate division”, did he really mean to say I won’t tolerate division unless I instigate it!  The other comment which struck me was Obama’s reasoning on accepting McChrystal’s resignation was because of “National Security”…..  Obama does not understand “National Security”!

WHAT I GOT FROM OBAMA’S ADDRESS ON TV

Obama accepted McChrystal’s resignation with regret and is replacing General David Petraeus to take over the War in Afghanistan.  Obama mentioned that War is bigger than any one man or woman.  He mentioned the Rolling Stone article and commented that that conduct undermines the civilian control in our democracy.  Obama said that 1) he has a responsibility to the men and women in uniform and that there must be an adherence to a strict code of conduct in order that we come together as one.

2) We must do whatever is necessary to defeat al-Qaida.  We must remember that our country is at war and we have a clear goal which is to apply pressure on al-Qaida in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

As for the continued DUMBING OF AMERICA by our journalists, especially for the numbskull who actually chose to write down the words “BITE ME”, please resign as you hurt our country by repeating “trash talk” by a great hero who in my humble opinion may have been exhausted and wanted some relief.  Didn’t your mother ever tell you not to repeat everything you hear?

There is nothing I can add to this misguided, ridiculous, self serving, narrow minded, unforgiving, worthless, unnecessary action other than to say please PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS!

GENERAL DAVID PETRAEUS

Obama Relieves McChrystal of Command

Mr. Obama said he had done so not out of personal insult, but because a magazine article featuring contemptuous quotes from the general and his staff about senior administration officials had not met standards of behavior for a commanding general, and threatened to erode trust among administration and military officials and undermine civilian control of the military.

“War is bigger than any one man or woman, whether a private, a general or president,” Mr. Obama said. “As difficult as it is to lose General McChrystal, I believe it is the right decision for national security.”

REMEMBER THIS?

Before MoveOn's "General Betray Us," there was Limbaugh's "Senator Betrayus"

September 21, 2007 9:02 pm ET

SUMMARY:Rush Limbaugh has called the MoveOn.org "General Petraeus or General Betray Us?" advertisement "contemptible" and "indecent,"butmonths earlier, on his radio show, he told his audience that he had a new name for Senator Chuck Hagel: "Senator Betrayus." Though Limbaugh has taken exception to accusations that he has attacked the patriotism of his political opponents, the "Senator Betrayus" remark is one of several instances in which Limbaugh has done so.

Senate Condemns "General Betray Us" Ad

Sep 20, 2007 01:14 PM US/Eastern
By ANNE FLAHERTY

The 72-25 vote condemned the full-page ad that appeared in The New York Times last week as Gen. David Petraeus, the top military commander in Iraq, testified on Capitol Hill. The ad was headlined: "General Petraeus or General Betray Us? Cooking the books for the White House."

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, another contender for the Democratic nomination, did not vote, although he voted minutes earlier for an alternative resolution by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. That resolution condemned the MoveOn ad as an "unwarranted personal attack," but also condemned political attack ads that questioned the patriotism of Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., and former Sen. Max Cleland, D-Ga., both Vietnam veterans.

Obama walks on anti-MoveOn.org Senate vote

Posted September 20, 2007 3:58 PM

by Jill Zuckman

So, why did Obama miss a key vote denouncing MoveOn.org’s recent advertisement about Gen. David Petraeus? The ad stirred outrage nationally for suggesting Petraeus was a lackey for the White House and disloyal to the country. “General Petraeus or General Betray Us?” it asked.

Obama voted for the Democratic alternative offered by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) reaffirming strong support for all men and women in the military and condemning attacks on the “honor, integrity and patriotism” of any individual who is serving or has served in the Armed Forces.

But he skipped the vote that came next. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) offered a “sense of the Senate” resolution that Petraeus “deserves the full support of the Senate” and said the Senate “strongly condemns personal attacks” on his honor and integrity.

Cornyn’s resolution was a direct swipe at the anti-war group, MoveOn.org, a powerful factor in the Democratic presidential primary. Senators Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) – both of whom are running for president – voted against the Cornyn amendment. (Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.), who is also running for president, missed all three votes today.)

Obama didn’t vote at all on the Cornyn amendment to the Defense authorization bill.

CIA’S SPEAK OUT

You asked "What one word could we use to describe the Regime’s mishandling of the BP SPILL, the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION situation in Arizona, UNEMPLOYMENT CRISIS, the “terrorists” wanting to KILL AMERICANS, the FLOODING DISASTER in Tennessee, the RAMMING of the Health Care Bill and let’s not forget the 9/11 CO-CONSPIRATORS TRIALS?"

How about CRIMINAL!!!!!

Well, I support the General.  It has to be almost impossible to do any job when you are being over-seen by idiots.  He can't help but to be frustrated by the stupidity he has had to contend with.

The nation is headed head long into a constitutional crisis of the first order.  It will involve all of these different items (and there are others that have not been made so public).  The crisis will deal with criminality from Obama himself and many of those around him.  This is the most corrupt regime in the history of this nation and there will be a play to stymie the forces going against him.  The primary criminal activity will involve George Soros, the Deep Water Horizon oil spill and the bureaucratic fiat being practiced (dictated) by Obama.  We now live in a lawless nation – we have law according to Obama (and his minions) the rule of law is sliding away but there will be a reckoning – it is coming.

Did you notice how the whole "Gitmo" situation has been buried? A problem that blew up for a while in the news and would be a no win PR nightmare for the administration so it needed to be buried. Extreme focus was directed toward the health care bill and it worked. They just lead the public around like a ring in the nose bull.

Thank you for a most timely piece.  Hooray for General McChrystal, a true warrior, hero and most importantly an honorable man.  Too bad the corporate generals made him apologize, although he only apologized for having spoken out, not for what he actually said.  I did think it was telling that Obama responded so quickly that he wanted the General to fly to Washington immediately so that he (Obama) could scold him for telling the truth, obviously he cannot take any heat but seems to feel it is his duty to criticize and ridicule others when he disagrees with anybody else's opinion, as he did with The Supreme Court Justices, Arizona, and The Tea Party movement. Yet it took him months to respond to McChrystal when he needed his decision and support on what should be done in Afghanistan.  I can only guess that McChrystal regrets voting for Obama now that he has seen his true colors when it comes to putting American lives in danger by trying to appease terrorists.
