Soldiers of Company E, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Special Troops Bn., 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, conduct a route clearance mission along the Rashid District’s Airport Road in southern Baghdad, Feb. 11. The engineer company, deployed in support of the Multi-National Division ñ Baghdad, assisted Iraqi security forces during security operations to ensure that Iraq’s Muslims can observe the Islamic religious holiday of Arba’een in peace. The combat engineers patrol the major highways and side streets in southern Baghdad looking for improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordnance.
